Mark Kaner serves as a Commercial Loan Officer and Assistant Vice President at Peoples Bank, based in the Bourbonnais office. In his role, Mark works closely with local business owners to provide customized lending solutions that help drive growth and stability within the community.

He began his career in the financial industry while attending Illinois State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. After graduation, Mark spent seven years as a real estate appraiser in Kankakee County before returning to banking full time as a
loan analyst. He later transitioned into residential mortgage lending and eventually into commercial lending, where he continues to thrive.

A lifelong resident of Kankakee County, Mark is passionate about supporting the region's economic development and is proud to contribute to the community through his service on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He believes in the power of community banking and values the strong relationships he builds with local residents and business leaders.
