Kankakee Community College will continue its celebration of 10 years of Lifelong Learning Institute programming at the fall kick-off and information session, 10 a.m. - noon Thursday, Aug. 28 in the KCC Iroquois Room.
The special guest speaker Aug. 28 will be Dana Arseneau from Riverside Healthcare, presenting “Staying Safe as We Age: Why Injuries Happen and How to Prevent Them.”
Registration and course information will be available. The event is free and open to the public.
The Lifelong Learning Institute at KCC offers affordable, high-quality, non-credit classes to people ages 50 and older. Sessions take place in an environment that fosters participation.
Classes focus on different intellectual and cultural topics and vary from a single session of a few hours to several meetings. In-person and live webinar options are offered, and prices vary. For Fall 2025, there are 16 free class options, and many others for $25 or less.
