Bourbonnais Public Library District Hosts Referendum Information Sessions. The Bourbonnais Public Library District will host two drop-in sessions to share information about its funding referendum, which will be on the November 3, 2026 ballot.

  • Donuts with Directors, Tuesday, October 13, 9:30 - 11 am
  • Appetizers with Admin, Thursday, October 22, 5 - 6:30 pm

These drop-in events are a great opportunity for the community to meet with library leadership, ask
questions about the referendum, and see concept renderings of our potential building expansion.

For more than 40 years, the Library has operated at the same tax rate. In that time, we’ve thoughtfully expanded programs and services while responsibly stewarding taxpayer resources. As our community continues to grow, so do the ways people use their library. This initiative is an investment in a stronger community, one that ensures every resident has access to the spaces, technology, programs, and opportunities they need today and tomorrow.

You can find more information about Donuts with Directors and Appetizers with Admin on the library’s website.  Further referendum information is also available on the Referendum Information Page.
