Bourbonnais, IL – Bears football is returning to Bourbonnais — this time on the big screen.

The Village of Bourbonnais invites football fans of all ages to Game Day at The Grove Sunday, Oct.
11, featuring a community tailgate followed by a live outdoor broadcast of the Chicago Bears vs.
Green Bay Packers game on The Grove’s giant LED screen.

The tailgate begins at 12 p.m., with kickoff scheduled for 3:25 p.m. at The Grove at Goselin Park,
700 Main St. NW, Bourbonnais. The game viewing is free and open to the public, with seating on
The Green available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

For more than a decade, Bourbonnais welcomed the Chicago Bears and thousands of fans for the team’s annual summer training camp, earning the community its familiar summertime nickname, “Bearbonnais.” Game Day at The Grove offers a new way for the community to celebrate that longstanding connection while gathering for one of football’s most recognized rivalries.

“Bears football has a special place in Bourbonnais history, and we’re excited to bring that game
day energy back to our community,” said Bourbonnais Mayor Jeff Keast. “We appreciate the Chicago Bears’ support in making this new event possible and look forward to bringing families and fans together at The Grove to celebrate what we hope will be a new Bourbonnais tradition.”

Fans looking to make a full game day out of the experience may reserve a designated tailgate
space at The Grove for $50. Each space is approximately 20' x 20', with reservations limited to one per transaction.

Tailgate spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance registration
and payment are required.

Reservations will be available through the Village of Bourbonnais website and social media pages until sold out.

In addition to the game broadcast, fans can show their team spirit with contests for Best Dressed
Fan and Best Tailgate. The Grove concession stand will also be open throughout the event with
food and beverages available for purchase.

Guests with reserved tailgate spaces may bring their own food, beverages, coolers, grills and
tailgate equipment in accordance with event rules. Tents and canopies must fit entirely within the reserved space and be secured with weights; staking is prohibited. Alcohol is permitted for personal consumption in accordance with Village and event regulations. Selling food, beverages or other items on the premises is prohibited.

A reserved tailgate space does not include or guarantee a viewing location on The Green. General
game viewing remains free admission and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers game will be broadcast in its entirety, including halftime. Yard games, contests, giveaways, photography opportunities, face painting and more surprises in store are scheduled to take place throughout the unique outdoor experience.
