Bourbonnais, IL – The Village of Bourbonnais is inviting residents and community members to
help Imagine Bourbonnais as the Village continues planning for the future of the Career Center
Road and West Bourbonnais Parkway area.

The Village will host a Career Center Road Subarea Open House from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday,
August 27, in the Community Room at the Bourbonnais Municipal Center, 700 Main St. NW.

A brief presentation will begin at 6:45 p.m. and will provide an overview of the project, including
its background, the Village’s goals and the purpose of the open house.

Following the presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas
regarding the future of the subarea, with discussion focused on:
• Land Use & Transportation
• Economic Development
• Community Character

“The Village of Bourbonnais is updating its future land use plan, and we want to make sure the
community has an opportunity to help shape that vision,” said Bourbonnais Mayor Jeff Keast.
“The last plan for this specific area was completed in 2019. Since then, markets, technology and
regional trends have continued to change. We want to hear from the community about what they
would like to see here in the future.” Registration is not required to attend. Light refreshments will be provided.
