Clove Alliance was formerly known as KC-CASA and ISAS but underwent new branding in 2021. Its mission is to “Provide hope and healing to survivors of sexual violence by improving the quality of services for survivors, assisting in their recovery, and working towards the elimination of sexual violence”.

Clove Alliance is an important organization for the community as a whole and is a valuable resource for businesses specifically through the free sexual harassment training offered to local businesses. All employers in the State of Illinois are required to provide 1 hour of sexual harassment prevention training to all employees on a yearly basis. Clove provides training for businesses compliant with the Illinois Senate Bill 75.

There are several FREE upcoming events, including a few open sessions - Wednesday, February 23rd from 5 pm to 6 pm via Zoom, Tuesday, March 8th from 10 am to 11 am via Zoom, Friday, May 13th from 12 am to 1 pm at Kankakee Community College. Open sessions are open to anyone; however, it is recommended that employers with 8 employees or more schedule their own private sessions.

“I along with everyone at Clove Alliance truly believe that the greater reason why businesses need to provide sexual harassment training is to create a safer and more inclusive work environment. When you have these in place your business is going to be a lot better, says Kristin Giacc, Director of Community Engagement at Clove Alliance.
