Chris Cunningham
Our Board Member Spotlight this month is Chris Cunningham, Roll Mill Manager with Nucor.
Chris began his career with Nucor in 2006 as an entry-level teammate. Chris received his first leadership opportunity in 2008 as a front-line lead. In 2012 he was promoted to a production supervisor. From there he held various supervisory roles in production and shipping before having the opportunity to lead the Nucor team from his current role in 2021.
Chris and his wife Michelle have two children, Carson (6) and Carter (4). The hobbies of his sons are often what he finds himself doing the most of in his spare time, which currently includes baseball, Legos, and playing outside. When he gets the chance to enjoy some of his own hobbies, Chris is a big sports fan and enjoys playing golf.
