Rolls into Bourbonnais

Free community event welcomes all ages!

Bourbonnais, IL – The third annual Bourbonnais Food Truck Fest rolls into town,
Saturday, August 19, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Due to current Community Campus construction underway on the Bourbonnais Municipal Center grounds, this year’s event will be held on location at the BrickStone Brewery Production Facility at 572 Brewery Lane.

2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m Kicking off the live entertainment lineup is Chicago-based singer, guitarist and pianist, Molly Adamson, making her Bourbonnais debut with the perfect blend of hits, singalongs, originals and requests from the crowd.

3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. is local brother-sister duo, Grant & Alaina Bahr, who will take the stage with their guitar fiddle combo and familiar southern sounds for fun singalongs and country classics.

4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bourbonnais Food Truck Fest introduces a new pie-eating contest, sponsored by Brandon Casey’s Comfort Crew. Registration will take place at the event and participants must sign a waiver prior. There is not an entry fee to participate. All ages may compete. A separate children’s round will take place for ages 12 and under. Prizes to be announced.

5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. welcomes Crawford’s Daughter to the stage with their dynamic duo performing songs from Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, The Pretenders, Bonnie Raitt, Little Big Town, Heart, Al Green, as well as originals.

7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. nationally recognized, award-winning band, Maggie Speaks, takes the stage as this year’s headliner. Since 1998, the international group has shared the stage with acts such as Earth Wind and Fire, The Doobie Brothers, and rapper Tone Loc, among many others. Covering music from the ‘60s through today, Maggie Speaks delivers rock, pop, Top 40, dance, funk, country, hip-hop, jazz, Motown, R&B and more.

The Kid Zone will feature fun activities for all ages including inflatables, games, a petting zoo, facepainting and a photo booth. Parental supervision is required.

“Come out this Saturday for an end-of-summer celebration featuring great food, live music and fun,” said Bourbonnais Mayor Paul Schore. “We appreciate the Village of
Bourbonnais team, all of the event sponsors and volunteers for coming together and making this happen for our community.”

Bourbonnais Food Truck Fest will be held rain or shine. Limited seating will be available for outdoor eating and viewing the entertainment. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets to enjoy the festivities.
